About Us

Small Town Collective opened its doors in November 2021, with a goal of bring carefully curated apparel, bath and body products, home goods and more to small town Pincher Creek. The goal was to create a shopping experience that was missing from the main street hub. With a focus on local and Candadian made goods, Chalsey sourced products from small businesses across the country to fill the shelves. High quality, boutique style clothing was also a high priority. She wanted to combine urban fashion trends with the western and boho styles she had grown up with. Why choose one style, when you can do it all!
Chalsey was born and raised in Southern Alberta on a ranch in the Porcupine Hills, just north of a 'small town' called Cowley. Growing up on a ranch made agriculture and rural life a huge influence on her personality and values as an individual and business woman.
After completeing high school in Lundbreck, Alberta (also a small town), she moved to Lethbridge, Alberta where she completeing her nursing diploma.
Eventually she moved back to the 'small town' Pincher Creek area where she began to build a life with her husband. After having her two children, she decided to leave the nursing career and when the opportunity arose to fullfil a dream, she jumped! Small Town Collective opened Novemeber 2021.
Chalsey is also a proud supporter of community groups and events. She donates money or gifts to many different organizations and groups including 4H, Soccer, Hockey and Rodeo events. She is also a volunteer with the Pincher Creek Pro Rodeo/Ag Society to help organize the Western Market during rodeo weekend every year as well as manages their social media and marketing. STC was nominated for New Business of the year in 2022 and Small Business of the Year in 2024 and 2025 and has been a winner of Businesses in Bloom in 2022 and 2023. Small Town Collective is also a member of the Pincher Creek Chamber of Commerce.
In her free time, when she isn't at a sports field or ice rink, she likes thrifting and antiquing, gardening, baking, camping and spending time outside on her acreage with her family.
